Welcome to Animated CyberKisses |
Just click on the heart to be taken to the page of your choice...
So often, when we think about giving gifts to the people we love, we worry;
Will they like it? Is it special enough?
But it isn't the gift that makes them feel special.
It's us, and the love we give with each package.
Remembering that it's the gifts from the heart that mean the most to the people we love..
the food we prepare, a warm blanket we tuck around a loved one's feet,
our arms wrapped around them in a loving hug, or the kiss we lay upon their brow.
Valentines is coming soon, and you want to make the night a special one;
so why not give a gift from the heart, and prepare a special meal.
Now keep in mind, Valentines is one of romance, so we do not want to make it a heavy meal.
After all if you go to all the trouble, wouldn't you rather sit wrapped in your loved
one's arms, beside the roaring fire then sit and watch them sleep. *smile*
The following are a few delicacy's you can prepare the day before, so you can be
fresh and rested when you welcome your love on Valentines.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries with Champagne
Even the non-cook will love this recipe.
Purchase your favorite Champagne and chill.
Buy fresh strawberries that have their stems intact. Wash, dry and refrigerate
the strawberries.
(Cold strawberries will cause the chocolate to harden and there will be less dripping.)
Chocolate dip: Buy a jar or Nutella, European chocolate hazelnut spread
Place1 cup of Nutella in a double boiler or fondue pot. Add 1 to 2 Tablespoons of
heavy cream. Heat over low heat! Add more heavy cream as needed until the
consistency of heavy cream. Serve your Valentine. Men, you can do it!

Victorian Gingerbread Valentines
In Victorian times lovers declared their affections via words, songs, pictures and
foods. One such food was gingerbread "life cakes" in the shape of hearts.
2 1/2 cups unsifted flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/3 cup dark corn syrup
1 large egg
In large bowl, sift together flour, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt.
Blend together margarine and brown sugar until smooth. Add corn syrup and egg;
beat well. Add dry ingredients, about one-third at a time, mixing until smooth after
each addition. Chill dough one hour.
Roll out half of dough on lightly floured surface to one-quarter-inch thickness.
(Reserve other half for decorations or for a second batch of cookies.) Using
hear-shaped cookie cutter, press out cookie shapes or use knife to cut around a
pattern. Place hearts on cookie sheet. Decorate as desired. Bake at 350 degrees for
15 to 20 minutes until golden. Remove and place on wire racks to cool. Store in
covered container.
Makes about eight 4 1/2 inch cookies.
Arousing Aromas
The sense of smell is closely connected to the sense of taste and also sends a powerful
subliminal message to your lover. The grand French courtesans of the nineteenth century
knew this and went to elaborate lengths to please their lovers. Silken bed linens were
sprayed with special scents, fragrant flower arrangements set inside bedrooms and their
baths were sprinkled with scented oils. These women were expert at the fine art of seduction!
Alan R. Hirsch, M.D., a neurologist at the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research
Foundation of Chicago, Illinois performed studies of food smells and concluded that
aromas such as those from pumpkin pie and freshly baked cinnamon buns can be
more sexually stimulating than a bottle of Chanel No. 5 perfume.
