Welcome to Animated CyberKisses |
Gift ideas for that special mom in your life.
First off let me give the men out there a little advice. If you can clean or cook with it, it generally
doesn't make a dandy Mother's day gift. Something pretty to
look at, smell, admire and that is totally
useless makes a wonderful gift. Yes, I understand that not everyone has
the cash to shower that special
mom with lavish gifts, but, remember there are a lot of things you can do that
won't cost you a cent!
I guarantee there are things that cost absolutely nothing that will bring a tear to her
eye and a smile to
her lips. After all it's not what
the gift costs but how it's given that counts. If it comes from the heart
that's what will count the most. If you
purchase a card...be sure to sign it. Include a little term of
endearment. She'll love you for it.
1. Alone time. Take the kids to the park and let her take
a nice long hot bath.
2. Make her a card with the children. A few scraps of
paper with a hand written note will do wonders for her.
3. Clean the house while she's out shopping. Even if it's
window shopping. Kids you can clean your rooms.
4. Wash her car. Be sure to get those old French fries out
from under the seat too.
5. A big hearty I Love You and a warm hug from those that love
her will let her know that you really care.
6. Make her breakfast in bed and CLEAN your own mess
up. Even if it's only toast and coffee/tea she'll love it.
7. Wash the windows. No it's not a fun job but mom doesn't
like doing it either.
8. Purchase an inexpensive packet of seeds. Wild flowers
are beautiful in one of the old planters out in the garage.
9. A picnic lunch at her favorite park is a lovely gift.
10. A bouquet of flowers are always appreciated. They can be of the
U-Pick variety.
11. A drive in the country.
12. Wash, dry, fold and put away the weeks laundry. It's not
that hard if you read the instructions on the soap box.
13. Take her to see her mom, without the normal amount of complaints
and gripes!
14. Write her a memory. You know what I mean. Write and
tell her what you remember most lovingly about
growing up.
15. Give her hand written i o u's for hugs, kisses, dishwashing,
taking out the garbage, anything you can think of
that you think she would like to
have.
Theses are just a few of the many thing you could do to make
Mom's day one to remember.
Keep in mind that Mother's day is for honoring your mother. Put away
petty differences if for only
one day. It will go a long way to mending fences.
