It was the start of my freshman year in college.
The school was having a picnic for all of the new
freshman as a way to get to know one another. I attended
with my friend and a couple other guys that we had met
that lived in our dorm. As we walked around we came
upon some kids gathered under a large Oak tree, laying
on a blanket laid the the girl of my dreams. When we
were introduced and she looked up at me my heart
went crazy, I couldn't get my breath, my hands broke
out in a sweat, my knees got weak. It took me for ever
to say hi back to her. I knew right then that I had to
get to know her better and that's just what I did. This
last May the 29th we had our 35th wedding anniversary, just
the two of us at a very romantic restaurant located
on a large lake near where we live.
After all of these years when I look at her, I still
see the same girl I meet over 36 years ago and I still get weak in the
have trouble breathing and my hands break out in a
sweat when she looks me in the eyes and says "I love you."
The person has to be clean, actually clean. They have to smell good, have clean hair, clean teeth, not a
greasy face, no nasty stuff coming out of there ears, or nose. (Editors
note...icky GAG gross)
The second thing is their personality, that is a must have. The guy should be a good listener, and talker. They should match what your
personality is like. To me that is likes to kid around, acts totally dumb sometimes (but does it for fun, and laughs about it later), and
tries to be nice to everyone.
The best advice I can suggest is be yourself. You don't a year down the line to find out your "big bad guy" like polka music and collects bugs. Tell the truth always. Love your family as much as you love your special someone. Candy and flowers don't make up for screwing up, but sincere
apology's do, if you you are persistent. And everything takes time, it's like a ladder. You must start at the bottom, to reach the top, even though sometimes it seems like you skip a rung, you really didn't your just up one more step. Keep at it, everything worth while, takes the most time.
Girls like to be spoiled. Surprise them with flowers or a teddy bear when they're sick, or just for the heck of it to show them you care.
Writing by hand means a lot to a girl, and so does returning letters/notes.
romantic date: My boyfriend and I had just make up after being separated for a week and a half. It was around Christmas time and his work was having a Christmas party, he asked me to go.
The party was suppose to be at a nice restaurant/bar and we were suppose to have dinner there. Well when we got there the other people were drunk. Sooo, my guy ask it would be alright to leave the party and go somewhere else. I said, sure. He took me to a small Mexican
restaurant. He ordered my food for me. Afterwards, it was nice out so he took me to a park and we walked around the playground. We sat on the swings and talked and he held my hand.
Before, he walked me to the door he gave me a kiss goodnight.
That was one of my most romantic dates. That isn't the most romantic day of my life though.
little things: rubs my shoulders when I've been playing with little kids all night, gets me cake and food without me asking, he kisses me on the forehead in the morning to wake me up, he hold me when I'm sad and jokes about me getting his
shirt wet, he tells me that he loves me when I'm a total wreck, he gently moves the hair that covers my eyes, he
surprises me with gifts for no reason, he tucks me in at night, and he always, always, says he LOVES ME and he wants me to have his children.
I am a very sexual woman, i don't mean this in any gross ways. I just love the feeling of being loved and loving others. My first romance was with a guy named Michael. He is
very shy and i am pretty outgoing, so our love-connection was a hit! You know what they say,,, opposites attract! Anyway, our first date was so romantic! He took me to a secluded beach out by his Grandma's cottage and he had a picnic lunch all set up.. The weather was
gorgeous! and after we ate the sun was just about setting.. he wrapped his arms around my waist and told me that he loved me.. I know it may seem weird for him to say that on the first date, but we both know that we are soul mates. We've been together ever since and i know that i will marry him! I'm only 23 years old but i know that our future is to be together. He is a great kisser as well!! A kiss is what makes or breaks a relationship. Good thing he is a great kisser! It made the relationship soar!
Mystery, Comedy and little things that make you smile now and then.
romantic date: I was taken out to the beach where we just watched the sunset and played in the sand...then we went out to get a bite to eat. I was tired so he took me home, came in and tucked me in, kissed my forehead and said
goodnight. It was the sweetest thing.
little things: Kiss Your Forehead.
Grab your hand just to let me know he is paying attention to me.
Little Pecks in public so everyone knows that I am his and he is mine.
Bringing you soup (even if it's in a can) when I'm sick.
Rubbing the small of my back because he knows I'm tired and worn out.
